The Astronomical New Moon is on Friday, 25th November 2011 at 06:11GMT. The crescent will not be visible anywhere on this day. It can be easily seen on Saturday 26th November 2011 in many parts of the world including most of Europe.
1st Muharram 1433AH will thus be on Sunday 27th November 2011 for the Muqallideen of Ayatullah Sistani and Marhum Ayatullah Khui.
