The Astronomical New Moon is on Wednesday 26th October 2011 at 20:57BST.The crescent will not be visible anywhere on this day. It can be easily seen on Thursday, 27th October 2011 in South Africa and South America.
According to the rulings of Ayatullah Sistani (based on The Theory of Differing Horizons), 1st Dhul al Hijjah 1432AH will be on Saturday, 29th October 2011. For the Muqallideen of Marhum Ayatullah Khui, 1st Dhul al Hijjah 1432AH will be on Friday, 28th October 2011.
