The Astronomical New Moon is on Saturday, 12 June 2010 at 1210 BST. The crescent will not be visible anywhere on this day.
1st Rajab 1431AH will therefore fall on Monday, 14 June 2010 for the Muqallideen of Ayatullah Sisitani and Marhum Ayatullah Khui following completion of 30 days of Jamada al Thani.
