
During the month of Ramadhan, Abbas and Fatema Sadak visited various schools and presented the importance of the holy month of fasting to Muslims and how the festival of Eid is celebrated.
Angela Bailey, Assistant Head teacher at the Oxley Park commented, “At Oxley Park Primary School in Milton Keynes the children have been learning about how Muslims celebrate Eid. In different classes there has been the opportunity for children to understand the significance of the month of Ramadan and why Muslims spend this time fasting and praying. In my class of 6 and 7 year olds we were very fortunate to have had a visit from Mr and Mrs Sadak who spent time talking to the class and telling them how Eid is celebrated. Mr Sadak showed the children some slides which helped them to understand the significance of the phases of the moon and Mrs Sadak brought some delicious food for us to taste.
