Kumail was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. His family later moved to Toronto where he completed his High School education. He is now studying Pharmacy at the University of Portsmouth.  His community services started as a Qur’an and Islamic Studies teacher in Toronto at the madrasah.

At the Wessex Jamaat in Portsmouth, Kumail has continued teaching Quran and is also a committee member of the Ahlul-Bayt society at the University. Kumail has been awarded the status of a Recognized Mentor by the University of Portsmouth.
 
In his spare time, Kumail enjoys reading books on visionary fiction and writing poems.  A number of his poems have been published by the Toronto Jamaat and by The World Federation.
